The National Center for Catastrophic Sports Injury Research has released their annual Injury Report. The report can be downloaded here. The NCSF, Varsity, and AACCA have responded to the report. There has also been some general media coverage surrounding the report.

Is Cheerleading a Contact Sport? II
The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled High School Cheerleading is a contact sport, overruling the state appellate court’s decision stating cheerleading was not a contact sport. In Wisconsin this means a High School cheerleader cannot be sued for accidentally causing an injury to a teammate.
